In this one, the long-suffering Kleinkinder clan, along with all the other Terran expats stranded in the Centauri system for 1000 years, arrive at their ancestors native planet to be acquainted with the human race. Ralph and Mardi are very happily married, have a child and indulge him as all parents indulge their firstborn. Ralph's dealings with the rest of the troupe pretty much just entail a pair of outer planet missions with Avril, "Dag", as Ralph is fond of calling him.
